It is often common practice to take the possessions and privileges of our children and teens as a punishment. This practice creates a lot of unforeseen challenges. For “foster kids” there is an additional level of complexity as well. We’ll discuss this and some solutions.
After experiencing foster care, I really struggled to enjoy my life. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t happy in the life I had worked so hard for. I felt that nothing was what I thought it would be. It took some time but I feel I’ve finally figured it out and you can too!
